Clutching a dying rose,
Waiting for you to turn your glance.
With arms outstretched and hearts a flutter,
Here I am.
Here I have always been.
Waiting.

Petals fall.
Summer turns to autumn.
Night dawns.

But the dark cannot not put out the light
Of an innocence so pure.
So here I will wait.
Till you glance lands on me someday

When it run it’s carass through your hair?

Can you turn back the hands of time,
To recapture the light of innocence?
Is it possible to cast aside reality
And believe again,
In imagination,
In dreams,
And in love.

Teach me how to immortalise,
That which has come to pass.
So that I may savour again
Even for a moment,
The sweetness of purity.
And cage and ever dimming light.

The first star I see tonight,

Keep safe those dear,
The little ones,
My heavenly angels,
Future’s chosen ones.

Give refuge now to the weary,
Bring them rest and peace.
Sweep them off to another world,
No more troubles, away with grief.

Keep company the sentry,
Keep the shadows at bay.
Be their beacon of light and strength,
To conquer another night till day.
